Playfinder’s April ‘Outstanding London Sports Venue Award’ has been won by Playfootball Romford.
Outstanding London Sports Venue
PlayFootball launched with the mission of getting Britain playing football to help people stay active and lead healthy, happy lives. Participation is at the heart of the PlayFootball mantra and the Romford venue is a superb example of the commitment to the cause. A recent report from London Sport reveals that 38.4% of people play sport in Havering and that the borough is home to 358 facilities.

There are a host of competitive 5-a-side leagues that are all officiated by FA qualified referees who adhere to the FA’s rules and regulations. At the end of each campaign there is a trophy and medals for the victors. All the pitches are the highest quality 3G surfaces that are surrounded by rebound boards to keep play moving and in turn push those fitness levels. Since launch Pro Direct, Gatorade and Fosters have all come on board as partners to enhance the playing experience.
Anyone just wanting a kickabout without the competitive edge can hire a pitch with friends or work colleagues for as little as £3 per player. Playfootball will even help source a player from a database should you suffer a late drop-out before a big game.
The award, which is determined by Playfinder users, was based on pitch quality, venue amenities and customer experience.
Playfinder is a platform for sports players who want to find and book sports venues in London. Users have the choice of over 1,000 venues for 16 featured sports.
