Netball popularity continues to be on the rise. The recent Commonwealth Gold for the England Roses has seen a wave of players either get back into the sport following some time away or pick it up for the first time. Netball is usually played on outdoor hard courts, but there are indoor sports halls with the right markings where games can be put on around Brighton. Netball only needs seven players on each team, bibs and a ball - these can sometimes be hired from the venue - but it’s always worth checking before arriving. Netball can be enjoyed as a single game among friends or work colleagues and there is a superb social scene connected with the sport. For those wanting a more competitive game, leagues and tournaments are available to join.

University of Brighton Falmer Campus is based near the state of the art Amex Stadium, home to Premier League Brighton & Hove Albion. The netball courts at this venue include eight floodlit tarmac, non-slip courts. If this wasn’t enough, Falmer Campus is also blessed with a sports hall marked with one netball court giving you the choice to play indoors or outdoors.
