Cricket Facilities in Dublin

Cricket is one of the fastest growing sports in Ireland since the Ireland Cricket Team qualified for the Cricket World Cup for the first time in 2007. The team has since gone on to compete in further World Cups and several World Twenty20 World Cups. To help continue the growth in popularity for Irish cricket, we’re showcasing some of the best places to play cricket in Dublin.

Belvedere College

Develop and perfect your batting technique by visiting the indoor cricket nets at Belvedere College. As these nets are indoors, you can be sure of playing no matter what the weather is like. The venue is located in the centre of Dublin and is extremely easy to get to. Via public transport, the closest stop is Dublin Bus Stop 52 (Dorset St, Frederick Street). If you don’t fancy lugging your cricket gear around on the bus then parking is also available.

Trinity College Dublin

This venue is the perfect place if your cricket team or club is looking for somewhere to play. With a beautifully maintained grass field in the very heart of Dublin, the location is ideal and extremely convenient to get to. It is easily accessible by both train and bus. The nearest station is Pearse Station (DART) and the nearest bus stop is Dublin Bus Stop 495 (Westland Row, Pearse Station). Parking is also available at the ground.

Leinster Sports Complex

Just south of central Dublin, this venue has some fantastic outdoor artificial cricket nets. Practice your batting and bowling with your friends in the great outdoors. Pay and display parking is available at the venue. Alternatively, there is a bus that stops right outside the venue, at Dublin Bus Stop 1019 (Rathmines Rd, Military Rd).

St Columba’s College

Just south of the E01, this cricket ground is easily accessible by car. It has a full sized grass cricket field and is ideal if your cricket team or club is looking for somewhere to play. If you want to use public transport rather than drive, then the nearest bus stop is Dublin Bus Stop 2976 (Brehon Field Rd, Grange Hall).
