Swimming has always been one of the most popular sports in the United Kingdom as it is fun for all ages. Luton has both indoor and outdoor swimming pools and many of these also offer other great activities such as exercise classes. As well as being fun, swimming is a great way to keep fit and stay healthy. It’s a low-impact activity that has many physical and mental health benefits.
People either decide to swim recreationally or competitively. Recreational swimming can provide you with a low-impact workout and it’s also a good way to relax and feel good. Common swimming styles in recreational swimming are breaststroke, backstroke, butterfly and front crawl. If you are a person who prefers to swim more competitively, this can provide the health benefits of a vigorous workout as well as the fun and thrill of competition.
It is known that swimming is a brilliant way to aid your recovery from a serious injury as depending on your type of injury, swimming can offer a low-impact, all-over body workout – a great way to exercise during your recovery. Being low-impact, swimming reduces additional stress on the body while helping you to be more active and feel healthier.
