There are numerous high quality athletics facilities in and around Manchester. Athletics is always a popular sport at school and university, but it can be enjoyed by athletes of all ages and abilities. There are many different aspects of athletics, ranging from running, discus throwing, high jump, long jump and many more events. This means there is something to suit everyone. You can choose between venues which have changing rooms, floodlights and parking spaces. We have listed some of our favourite athletics facilities in Manchester.
Cleavley Track in Eccles is one of the main athletics hubs in Manchester. It is brilliantly floodlit and has an eight-lane running track which is a synthetic rubber surface. It also has field athletics facilities, as well as seats for spectators making it ideal for sports days or athletics competitions. Parking spaces are provided by the venue and the nearest station is Patricroft.
