On the doorstep of Manchester Fort shopping centre, the venue has a range of 5 a side 3G astroturf pitches. The easiest way to travel to the venue is by car, with the venue offering parking spaces.
Salford Sports Village is a large sports complex with numerous 5 a side 3G astroturf football pitches available for hire. These pitches are also floodlit. If you’re planning to travel via public transport, the nearest bus stop is on Littleton Road just outside the venue, with the 93 and 95 buses stopping regularly. Free parking is also available at the venue if you’d prefer to drive.
Powerleague Manchester Central is one of the most popular places to play 7 a side football in Manchester. Located just outside the A57, this venue is the perfect place to play if you live or work in Manchester city centre. The pitch here is 3G astroturf and the venue is floodlit so that you can play into the night. The nearest station is Ardwick or Manchester Piccadilly and there is also parking available at the venue.
Ordsall Leisure Centre is conveniently located on the doorstep of The Quays. It has a full sized 3G astroturf pitch which can be part hired for use as a 7 a side pitch. The pitches are floodlit and changing rooms are also free to use for players. The easiest way to travel to the venue is via the Salford Quays stop on Metrolink tram’s Eccles Line. Free parking spaces are also available.
Irlam and Cadishead Leisure College has an 11 a side 3G astroturf pitch that is perfect for training or hosting home matches for your football team or league. Floodlights mean that you can play all year round without trouble. Changing rooms are also available for all players to use before and after your game. The nearest station when travelling is Irlam.
Wright Robinson College has three 11 a side pitches which all have a 3G astroturf surface. The surface is suitable for all weather conditions and the floodlights also mean it’s great all year round even in the darker winter months. The venue also has grass football pitches available to hire for those who prefer a more traditional playing surface. Changing rooms are on offer for all players, as well as parking spaces. The nearest station to the venue is Fairfield.
Salford Sports Village has earned a second mention on our list of best football pitches as it is a hive of 11 a side footballing activity, especially on Sundays. It is the perfect place to host your Sunday league games with nine 11 a side grass pitches available for hire. Changing rooms are provided for all teams and players, as well as free parking on site. Travelling by car or team coach is the easiest way to get to this venue but the 93 and 95 bus do also stop right outside the venue.
