Futsal has become increasing popular in the UK in recent years, with plenty of venues now catering for the sport in indoor halls. Futsal is a form of 5-a-side football, with small, hockey-like goals and a smaller, heavier ball for you to show off your skills and control on the ball. Many of your favourite international footballers started out playing futsal, such as Neymar and Ronaldo, and you can get involved by finding your nearest futsal pitch. Here are a few of the best futsal pitches you’ll find in Manchester.
Salford University, just west of Central Manchester, has an excellent sports hall with an indoor futsal pitch, complete with pitch markings and futsal goals, so you can play all year round. The facility may provide a futsal ball for your booking if you’re unable to provide your own but it is advised that you call the venue directly to check ahead of your session. You can travel to the facility via car or public transport, with the Crescent/Salford University bus stop right outside, and Salford Central train station nearby.
