If you’re looking to get into fitness, there are plenty of gyms in Manchester that cater for all abilities. Whether you want to sign up for some gym classes or just do your own workout, you’ll find a great variety of facilities at these Manchester based gyms.
The gym facilities at Salford University, just west of Central Manchester, will provide a lot of variety to your fitness regime, with dedicated rooms for resistance training, cardio, and strength training. As well as this, there are several exercise classes you can sign up for in the fitness studio. The University is accessible by a frequent bus service just outside the facility, with two car parks, and Salford Central train station also nearby.
Swinton and Pendlebury Leisure Centre in North West Manchester boasts a two-floor gym with 86 stations for you to integrate into your workout. There’s also a fitness studio, offering over 35 exercise classes a week, if that’s more your workout style. The facility provides free parking, and is a short walk from Swinton train station.
Belle Vue Sports Village
Looking for gym facilities in South East Manchester? Belle Vue Sports Village has gym facilities for cardio, resistance training and more, alongside weekly fitness programmes. If you’ll be using the gym regularly you can sign up for a monthly membership, but there is also a pay as you go scheme for the more casual gym goer. Travel to the venue by car and take advantage of the parking facilities, or by bus or train, with Belle Vue station a short walk away.
Salford Sports Village
Based in North West Manchester, Salford Sports Village has a 32-station fitness suite, refurbished in January 2017. You can join one their fitness classes or do your own CV or strength training, among other facilities. There’s free parking, but also a regular bus service to and from the venue.
