The Royal Borough of Kingston upon Thames is home to a wide variety of sporting venues for whatever you feel like playing. Along with the many football pitches available to hire, whether grass or astroturf, and 5 or 11 a side, Kingston has facilities for squash, tennis, swimming and more. So whether you’re looking to keep fit, or just have a social game, take a look at our local Kingston venues and get a weekend or after work session in.
Tolworth Recreation Centre has two 5 a side football pitches for hire at their venue, one astroturf, and one 3G astroturf, complete with floodlights to make sure you can carry on playing right through the dark evenings. The venue also has squash facilities if that’s more your game. Parking facilities are free at the centre, but you can also travel easily by train with Tolworth train station nearby. If you’re looking for facilities in the town centre, Kingfisher Leisure Centre is the place to go. They have two squash courts bookable for your next casual match, or if you’re looking to get competitive, they run an annual internal league. The venue also has swimming and gym facilities, as well as pay and display parking and changing rooms, to make the transition to your after work workout that much easier. If you’d rather travel by public transport, the centre is 10 minutes from Kingston rail station.
Looking for an 11 a side football pitch near you? Fairfield Recreation Ground has three full sized grass football pitches, available on a pay as you basis. And if you’d prefer a game of cricket, there’s a full sized grass pitch on site. If you’re looking for simple, no strings attached sport, than Fairfield Recreation Ground will be right up your street. The venue has pay and display parking facilities and if you’d prefer to travel by public transport, Kingston rail station is 10 minutes away.
