Basketball is an increasingly popular sport and there are basketball courts for hire in Manchester. Players can choose between an indoor or outdoor surface depending on their preference, with most courts being suitable for training and competitive matches alike. Below we have a listed just a few of the best basketball courts in Manchester.
Ordsall Leisure Centre has indoor basketball courts available for public hire. The indoor sports hall is perfect for an after work or weekend game. Changing rooms are also made available to all players and teams. Located in the heart of Salford, the best way to travel here is via the Salford Quays tram stop.
Chorlton High School is located South of Manchester and has both indoor and outdoor basketball courts, meaning there is something to suit all players. Changing rooms are also available to use for teams and players. Parking spaces are provided and St Werburgh's Road tram stop is just a few minutes’ walk away from the venue, making it very accessible.
The Albion Academy is another one of Salford’s many great sports facilities and is open to the public outside of school hours. As well as an indoor basketball court in the sports hall, the venue also has outdoor basketball courts which are great to play on during the summer months. Car parking spaces are provided at the venue, with the best public transport route being the nearby bus stop that is served by the 10, 27 and 95 bus.
Irlam and Cadishead College is located West of Central Manchester and has a multi-purpose sports hall that can hired for use as a basketball court. Players can also make use of the well-maintained changing room facilities. The station closest to the venue is Irlam but the easiest way to get here is to travel by car and parking spaces are provided on site.
