Battersea Sports Centre has bagged Playfinder’s February ‘Outstanding London Sports Venue Award’.

The Wandsworth based sports facility, in an area of the borough targeted for regeneration, edged a competitive contest to take the crown that rewards venues for pitch quality, amenities and customer service. The centre has been known for the positive impact it has in the local community.

Visitors to the centre are able to take advantage of a full sized indoor sports hall that caters for volleyball, netball, basketball, badminton and football. There are outdoor tennis courts on site that also allow for netball.

A fully-equipped gym and fitness room provide a perfect place to encourage healthy lifestyles. There is also a multi-use games area that features a 3G astroturf 5-a-side football pitch.

Playfinder is a platform for sports players who want to find and book sports venues in London. Users have the choice of over 1,000 venues for 15 featured sports.
