Clubify: Helping clubs to connect with their community
Community plays a pivotal role in grassroots sports in Ireland and often whole towns will be involved with their local sports club. Having such fantastic support is a real bonus to sports clubs and teams but as the number of members and fans grows it can become more difficult to communicate with all those involved. Thanks to a genius new app it’s now easy for clubs to keep fans in the know about everything at their local teams.
Via the new Clubify app, clubs can upload information such as fixtures and results, match locations, club lotteries, and club news and this information is instantly at the fingertips of all of the clubs members and followers. Created by Aidan Quilligan and Declan Murphy from Sixmilebridge, the aim is to allow clubs to get information to their fans and subscribers instantly, and to allow members to keep up to date with their local team.
In addition to initiating communication between clubs and their followers the app enables clubs to list their fundraising initiatives and lotteries, allowing users to easily engage with and support their club, no matter where they are.
The app was originally launched to help GAA clubs but now works alongside a wider range of sports including soccer, hockey, cricket, athletics, and rugby clubs as well as community organisations. Clubify has a range of features which can be tailored to the needs of your community centred club or group, and can integrate with social media accounts. Best of all Clubify is free to use!
As well as finding out when your club is playing on Clubify, you will soon be able to find venue information supplied by Playfinder for each of Clubify’s Dublin sports venues meaning you can easily find your way to games, or get in touch with the venues.
