Playfinder, the leading grassroots sports search and booking portal, has scored a deal with Middlesex Football Association to become its official Bookings Partner.

Playfinder and Middlesex FA are working together to increase and sustain grassroots football participation figures throughout the county. Since launching in 2014, Playfinder has helped over 1.5m people play grassroots sports.

The intuitive platform helps people around London to find and book pitches which they can now do directly via the Middlesex FA website.

Venues and players can use the online grassroots marketplace to either advertise or book their chosen facility, something Middlesex FA hope will contribute to the Association’s vision.

Lynsey Edwards, Middlesex FA’s Head of Participation and Development said: “Here at Middlesex FA, our vision is to provide every person in the County with the opportunity to be involved with football. Therefore, we are very excited to be working with Playfinder on this new partnership which will not only provide increased playing opportunities but allow us to develop a greater insight into our customers and help us develop our offer to them.”

The Playfinder platform captures vast data records from searches, enquiries and bookings and will assist Middlesex to identify and deliver several participation schemes, including The Peoples FA Cup, SSE Wildcats and Just Play Football.

Local football clubs will be able to list their pitches on the Playfinder platform giving them access to increased bookings and revenues.

Jamie Foale, Co-Founder of Playfinder, commented: “Middlesex FA are committed supporters of grassroots football and I’m thrilled to be working on a common goal of boosting participation numbers. Our technology provides an easy way to find and book football facilities and the rich data we collect will drive a wide range of amateur level initiatives.”
