Playfinder’s report conducted through the European Championships showed a 20% increase in football bookings following England’s embarrassing exit to Iceland.
Rise in London football bookings
London’s footballers clearly disillusioned with the state of the national team felt they could do better and voted with their feet -it’s not hard to see why!
The Three Lions reached an all time low losing 2-1 to the Icelanders, but at least Roy Hodgson’s former gang inspired London’s grassroots footballers to get off the sofa.
England have now only won six games since Euro 1996 in knockout international football. Dig a little deeper and one of those came via the penalty shoot-out lottery and another was a last-gasp winner.
Adding to that it’s only four victories in their previous 15 games at major tournaments and they have never won a Euros knockout game outright.
Clearly grassroots football lovers have had enough and are flooding to facilities across London to take their anger out on rival teams and footballs.
Are you one of those angry, embittered football players at the end of their tether? Perhaps even more so after Sam Allardyce’s appointment? Well Playfinder as ever is here to help.
