Ashton Community Science College is another terrific venue offering a whole host of sports available to book including football, badminton, cricket, netball, tennis and handball. In particular, the 6-a-side and 11-a-side 3G astroturf football pitches are superb for players looking for either a casual kick-about with mates, or a competitive league game. With floodlit pitches, you can stay active well into the evenings and throughout the winter months. There is free parking available on-site, whilst Broadway bus station is your closest alternative if you’re travelling via public transport.
One of the main attractions to the Sir Tom Finney Community High School is the luxurious, indoor temperature controlled hydrotherapy pool. The pool is ideal for all swimmers whether you’re in training or simply want to splash about. The centre also provides excellent football, cricket, badminton and basketball facilities to book. Smart and spacious changing rooms, as well as free parking are available free of charge to customers. If you’re travelling by bus, then the City of Preston HS stop is the one for you.
Brownedge St.Mary’s Catholic High School is another fantastic sports facility available to book in Preston. The school boasts a superb 11-a-side 3G astroturf pitch, perfect for either a kickabout with your mates or more competitive league games. Indoor and outdoor 5-a-side football pitches are also available to hire. Other sports on offer include badminton, cricket, basketball and netball. The centre also offers great changing facilities, as well as free parking, making it the ideal place for a post-work game.
Moor Park High School and Sixth Form offers some of the best indoor facilities in Preston, so you can stay active during the cold and dark winter months. The fantastic indoor 5-a-side football pitch is available to hire, as well as badminton, cricket and basketball facilities. With prices starting from just £24 an hour, get yourself and some friends down to Moor Park for a game. With on-site changing rooms and free parking at the venue, it couldn’t be much easier. If you’re coming via the bus, jump off at Moor Park HS bus station and start playing.
